Bed Positions Explained

Back-rest raises the upper body, which helps patients breathe, eat and sit up.

Knee-rest bends the knees so the patient does not slide down the bed when the back is raised.

Hi-low moves the whole bed up and down: low for safe getting in and out, high so nurses can work without bending.

Trendelenburg tilts the bed head-down, and reverse Trendelenburg tilts it head-up. ICU teams use these tilts for some emergencies and procedures.

Choose this bed for step-down units, private rooms and wards that need electric back-rest, knee-rest and height, but not the head-down or head-up tilts.
