Pulse in Japan: Building Bridges at 3one4 Emergent Japan
In October 2026, Pulse travelled to Japan at the invitation of 3one4 Capital, the investor that led Pulse's seed round. Here is what the Emergent programme is and what it meant for Pulse.
In October 2026, Pulse co-founder Anshul Sharma represented Pulse at 3one4 Emergent Japan, a programme run by 3one4 Capital, the venture fund that led Pulse's $4 million seed round. Emergent brings selected 3one4 founders together with Japanese companies, banks and investors for presentations and one-to-one meetings.
What Is 3one4 Emergent?
Emergent is 3one4 Capital's programme for connecting its portfolio founders with leading institutions, investors and markets abroad. It is a working trip of meetings and presentations rather than a conference where founders sit and listen. Earlier editions were held in Singapore, Japan and Mumbai.
The Japan editions show what the programme does. In 2024, founders took part in 118 meetings with 53 Japanese corporations, investors and fund partners over four days, with a showcase day at Mizuho Bank's headquarters in Tokyo. In 2025, Emergent Tokyo held more than 120 meetings across 53 institutions, again hosted at Mizuho Bank.
Pulse at Emergent Japan
Pulse co-founder Anshul Sharma represented the company. He presented the Pulse story to the room and joined founders, investors and Japanese industry leaders for a day of ideas and introductions.
As Pulse wrote afterwards: "Meaningful innovation happens when ambitious ideas meet the right people, perspectives, and opportunities."
